Tavy & Oliver’s Banking Hall Wedding – Champagne, Chaos & One Hell of a Dancefloor

Let’s kick this off with complete honesty: the day didn’t quite start how I planned.

I arrived at the train station, fully ready to capture a gorgeous London wedding… and managed to leave my bag at ldn bridge station toilet. Yep. That’s the level of professionalism we’re dealing with here. There’s nothing quite like the panic of realising your entire kit is chilling in a public loo while you sprint back like you’re in an Olympic final.

But hey I recovered it, and the adrenaline definitely woke me up. Who needs coffee?

Tavy’s Calm Morning vs. Oliver’s Full-On “Let’s Go, Boys!” Energy

Now, Tavy started her wedding morning exactly how she wanted: chilled, personal, surrounded by her girls. She wanted a more personal private setting for her calm morning.

Meanwhile… Oliver had other ideas.

He wanted the full shabang. Loud, lively, chaotic, champagne flowing basically the polar opposite of calm.

So me and Sam, and one of the videographers headed over to the Leonardo Hotel to capture the groom’s prep instead.

The Boys at Leonardo – Champagne, Shirt Panic & DIY Interior Design

The second we walked in, the energy hit us like a wave. Shirts were half done up, trousers were everywhere, the ironing situation was questionable, and champagne was already flowing like it was New Year's Eve.

I swear I spent half the morning moving furniture around the room because boys really do get ready in the smallest space possible. Sofas, tables, lamps… if it wasn’t nailed down, I was moving it.

But the laughter, the stupid jokes, the un seriousness of the morning honestly, it made for some of the best photos, It was raw, real, and ridiculously fun.

Back to Banking Hall – Where the Magic Was Happening

Once the boys were finally looking sharp I shot back over to Banking Hall.

And… wow.

The place looked unreal.

The decorators were working away with so much precision. The florists had created this beautifully balanced setup, elegant without being too formal, vibrant without being OTT. Every petal, every candle, every detail had been placed with intention.

The small things matter on a wedding day more than people realise. These little touches shape the atmosphere, the mood, the emotion. Years from now, Tavy and Oliver might forget how many roses were in the centrepieces, but the feeling those details created? That stays.

The Ceremony – Grand, Emotional & So Full of Meaning

Then it was ceremony time and honestly, this was the moment everything came together.

Banking Hall looked incredible. The lighting, the florals, the architecture it all created this beautiful, cinematic setting that felt grand without taking away from the intimacy of the moment.

When Tavy walked in, everything shifted. Oliver’s face said everything you needed to know. But what really stood out was the emotion during the ring exchange.

There was this pause... just a second, but long enough to feel it, where you could see exactly how much this moment meant to Tavy. Her whole expression softened. Her eyes welled slightly (in the most elegant way possible). It was like the entire room held its breath with her.

The way they looked at each other with the rings in their hands… you could see years of memories, excitement, nerves, and absolute love all wrapped up in that one moment. It wasn’t just symbolic you could genuinely feel the weight of it for them.

And once they were officially married? Boom. The room erupted. Smiles everywhere. The perfect mix of classy, emotional, and joyful... was there any time between celebrations? absolutely not!

Then came the moment North London weddings are famous for:THE JEWISH DANCING.

Insane. Absolutely insane.

The music started and suddenly the whole room turned into a spinning vortex of joy. Circles forming, circles breaking, people being lifted, chairs in the air and not just politely in the air, properly launched.

The energy was unmatched.Sweat. Laughter. Fear for the structural integrity of the chairs.Pure magic.

The Evening – Vibes, Photos, and One Hell of a Party

The party didn’t slow down once. Not even for a second. The dance floor was packed, the vibes were perfect, and Tavy & Oliver spent the night surrounded by the people who clearly adore them.

It was one of those weddings you leave buzzing, tired, sweaty, but buzzing.

Thank you both so much for letting me capture your day. It was an absolute honour to photograph a wedding filled with so much love, energy, and personality. You’re a genuinely beautiful couple, inside and out and being there to document every laugh, every tear, and every wild dancefloor moment was honestly a joy. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness for you both. ❤️
