East Mersea Hall
Honestly? East Mersea Hall is one of those venues that just gets it. Tucked away on Mersea Island in Essex, it has this incredible mix of wide open space, gorgeous grounds, and a real laid-back energy that makes the whole day feel a bit like a dream. The kind of place where people relax, actually enjoy themselves, and let the day unfold exactly as it should. Which just so happens to be exactly what I love to photograph.
I had the loveliest time shooting Emma & Jon's wedding here. The afternoon light across the island is something else (golden and warm and honestly a bit magical) and the two of them were so relaxed and happy that the photos practically took themselves. Okay, I helped a little. I remember wandering around the grounds with them for their couple portraits and thinking, yep, this is exactly why I do this.
